Hugh's interest in self employment evolved while attending Huron College at the University of Western Ontario. In addition to his full-time educational pursuits, Hugh owned and operated his own business; Rawling Landscape and Maintenance Service. This enterprise paid for his university tuition and allowed him to purchase a house, at age 19, where he lived and rented rooms to other students. In 1979, Hugh joined London Life as a financial security advisor. July 1998 he established his own business; Rawling Financial Inc. Hugh's personal entrepreneurial ventures have given him a first-hand understanding of his business-owner customers' needs. Using this knowledge, he created The Planning and Product Trail System. Hugh holds the three major financial planning designations: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is Past President (1990) of the London branch of Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CAIFA), now know as ADVOCIS. He is married with 2 daughters.
